WELCOME ! This is a new blog dedicated to keeping track of what's happening at the vatican, with the pope, the roman catholic church at large, et al. It's not just for catholics, but for everybody...even if you are NOT catholic you ought to know and beware of what is happening in the catholic church at large because they have the biggest numbers: most parishioners, most church leaders, most money, etc. Obviously, most & bigger doesn't always mean better, but it does mean influential, for better or for worse. And we hope and pray it is for the better. And there's been a lot of "buzz" about the new pope, Francis, ...getting a lot of headlines and even somewhat appeasing the secular liberals to a certain extent while at the same time insisting he's not compromising the longtime value base of the catholic church. Whatever the case may be, Francis is turning heads and let's hope whatever he does it will HELP the universal catholic church worldwide, not just the roman catholic church.
